8 Months

June has been a busy, fun month! On the 8th, we drove to Tulsa to see the Lion King broadway musical with Josh's family. These first few pictures are from after the play, when we went out for dinner.

Cell phones are so fun!

...and apparently so are straws!

He's still working on crawling. He wants to go and do soooo bad, I'm sure it won't be too much longer. He has also started clicking his tongue, but I haven't been able to get a video of that yet (he's tricky!).

Funny faces!

He was in a giggle mood and I managed to catch the end of it. It cracks me up the way he goes from serious to belly-laughs!

Father's Day

We met my family in Iola at the park for Father's Day.

Great-Grandma and Eli

They seem very tickled about something!

Family everywhere!

Great-Aunt Jan

Someone brought their new puppy... Eli wasn't too sure at first, but then the puppy started licking his toes and that sent him into giggles!

At the Father's Day get-together, Aunt Abby gave Eli a little minion (from the movie "Despicable Me") she got out of a box of cereal. He LOVES it! Rarely is he without it, unless he is just busy playing with everything else, but he comes back to it again and again. Most of the time, even when he plays with something else, he has the little minion in one hand or on the floor close to him.
Minion loves bath time!

"I think I'm done with this"

"I'm just gonna hide behind monkey"

"Can you hand me the remote?"

Fun outside (with the minion).
Look over here...

Then over there...
in  the middle...

There it is!
You would think that face would be for Mom, but you would be wrong!

Must. Have. Minion.

What else do we do with minions?

Give a little taste...

Nope. Needs more dirt.

Silly boy and his minion. :)

And, just in case your minion trivia is lacking...

What you didn't know about Minions:

1. Minions don't float.
2. Minions taste.... okay.
3. Minions taste better with dirt.
4. Minions don't know how to jump back into the crib by themselves.
5. Minions like to play in the grass.
6. Minions don't eat grass (even if little boys do).

A Plane, a Pool, and a Wedding

Eli and I both had our first trip to Arizona! We flew out for a long Memorial Day weekend trip, along with Aunt Beth. He did great on the plane; on the way out he was somewhat fussy because it was nap time, but he wouldn't sleep on the plane. On the way back he did take a little nap, so it went a little smoother.

We went to In-and-Out Burger for lunch one day we were there. He has started wanting to eat what we are eating (even if we don't allow him to have whatever it is), but we let him have one or two french fries, which he mostly gummed and then dropped. :)

Yummy french fries!

Sorry the pictures aren't better, the light inside was, well, inside light, so there aren't many of those!

Playing with Aunt Carrie

Hangin' with Uncle Bill
Funny video of Josh making Eli laugh! Today I was getting pictures ready for posting and Eli saw this video and watched it about 10 times, enraptured with his giggling self!

The next one isn't very long, but shows how good a flipping over he has become! Still no crawling, but he wants to move around so badly; he scoots and rolls and reaches to get the things he wants right now.

Swimming! He really did well for his first time in the water; he liked to splash around, even floated on his back (with assistance) and put his face in. Granted, he like to drink or choke on the water too, but I'll take what I can get!

Plane ride home. Thanks Aunt Joyce for the Tigger! He likes to bite it!

Finally in the car going home...
...and making funny faces!
Wedding Time!

My sister, Abby, was married on June 1st (Yay!) and I made matching tie and vest onesies for Eli and Rene's new baby boy, so cute! I also made a matching band for Eli's hat.
Dressed up for Aunt Abby's wedding!
Trying to be good waiting for the wedding to start.

Crazy family!

Beautiful bride!
