Doctor Visit

We just got back from braving the snowy roads to see the doctor. Actually, the roads were completely clear on the main streets, but we still have lots of snow everywhere!

Eli is 25 1/4 inches tall (60th percentile), weighs 16 pounds 7 ounces (77th percentile) and his head is 17 inches around (72nd percentile). Josh was really hoping for that 20 pound mark, but maybe next visit!

Here are some pictures I forgot to post yesterday; these are from this last weekend when we went down to Tulsa.

Happy with Daddy

"What? I don't get any pie?!"

"I'm soooo thirsty..."

"Just kidding! I just ate!"

Giggles!

Eli loves feeling Daddy's beard! For some reason he thinks it is the funniest thing when his hands rub the scratchy hair.
This is my favorite! Eli can't stop giggling!

Chillin' with his mustache paci

BOO!

We go to the doctor tomorrow to see how big he is!

Snow and Cars

Today it started snowing about 10:00 this morning, and continued coming down until later this afternoon. As it started building up, Eli and I watched out the window at the snow falling and the cars going past on the street. I'm pretty sure he found the cars more interesting than the snow!

P.S. The socks on his hands are to prevent 'Scarface' the sequel.

4 Months

Eli is getting so big! He goes to the doctor next week, so we'll have an official height and weight then, but on a friend's scale he weighed 16 pounds! I think his head looks significantly bigger, and Josh just says he's getting the "Forsythe head", as demonstrated below. None of his infant hats fit anymore, just the couple of toddler/child hats he has. His neck rolls are so deep I'm starting to feel sorry for the skin; they don't every see daylight... or air. :)

Playing with Dad!

Last weekend we went to Great-grandma's house, she still thinks he's pretty great. 'Cause he is!

tries to get him to look at her instead of Abby!

He likes books, so cards are about the same...

Hangin' with Great-grandpa

I'm not sure what that 'surprised'
face is about, but he's got it down!

Eli is 4 months old this week, so it's time for monkey pictures! But first, here's a glimpse back over the last few months to see how much he has grown!

4 Months!

Next, Eli is teaching Mr. Monkey his new favorite game, 'Patty Cake'.
"So... I know this game..."

"Hey! It's a good game, I promise"

"First, you put your hands like this..."

"Yeah, this looks right... then, something
about 'patty' and an oven..."

"and you roll it up..."

"and then... you have to taste it, you
know, just make sure it's right before
you put it in the oven"

"and then, sometimes you
have to take a nap"

"it's okay to be tired, Monkey" *pat* *pat*

"I'll hold your hand it you want"

"oh, Mom saw us..."

"quick, pretend you're not here,
 I'll hide you"

"What's up Mom? I was just hangin'...
by myself... no one else is here..."

"Oh, you found him!"

"Tricked you, didn't I?!"

"No? Oh, well, I'll try better next time!"
