My First Christmas

Mom and Dad are worn out from all the holiday fun, so I'm covering this one. Bear with me and we'll get through all the pictures!!

Sunday before Christmas, we left to spend a little time in Pittsburg with some friends, than headed over to Joplin/Webb City to see Uncle Vance and Aunt Rachel and Scout. I was ready to go way before Mom and Dad got all their stuff together, so I hung out in my bumbo seat and watched them finish getting ready.
Hurry up Mom, I'm ready to go!

Uncle Vance makes the best faces
and talks to me! Sometimes I even
 talk back to him.

Aunt Rachel thinks it's fun to take
pictures of everyone, especially me and
Cousin Scout.

Opening presents was fun, I was in charge of the wrapping paper, but it got a little overwhelming.

Thanks for my bunny Aunt Carrie
and Uncle Alan!

We gave Scout some cow shoes! I think he liked them.

Scout tried to be my friend, even when I was mad. He does a good job being nice to me. Most of the time. :)

Hanging out with Dad on Christmas morning at Gram and Gramps' house. Thanks for the Christmas outfit Aunt Rachel, it was cozy and warm!

Nap time with Gramps. It's how we roll.

Playing with one of my Christmas toys,
a monkey rattle!

Saturday after Christmas we went to Great-Grandma and Grandpa's house. They think I'm pretty awesome.
Great-Grandma thinks I've gotten really big!

Hey Mom! Is it time to eat yet?

We all played cards after the big dinner, even me!

I was with (great) Aunt Jan.

Hey, I'm pretty sure this is the one we want.

Where'd they all go?!?

I don't know about this Uncle Luke...

He's just not squishy enough.

Did someone say "presents"?!

Chillin' with Aunt Christine
That's my first Christmas! I had a great time with everyone and got some pretty awesome gifts, thanks everybody!

P.S. Sorry if I was cranky with anyone while they were around me, I'm still trying to get Mom and Dad trained. It's a lot harder than it looks...

Guess Eli's Weight!

We go to the doctor for Eli's 2 month visit on Thursday and we'll see how much he has grown! So, I thought I would give you all a chance to guess how much he weighs and how long he is. At his two week appointment, he was 7 pounds, 13.5 ounces and 20 1/4 inches long.

Put your guess in the comments and we'll see who's guess is the closest! I'll post the official height and weight on Friday!

P.S. Today he rolled over three times! He rolled over once last week, but I don't think that was really on purpose...

8 Weeks

We've had a busy couple of weeks; Aunt Sara came to visit, Josh and I had a date night and Eli stayed with the Shelley's for the evening, all three of us drove to Coffeyville and spent the night last week, and Eli and I had a Christmas shopping day in Wichita with Gram and Gramps last Friday. He doesn't love his car seat ever since we drove all the way to Colorado and back, but he does okay for short trips.

 - He has slept all night twice in the last week, and 4-5 hours at a time the other nights!
 - He likes to be with people and if he's awake he thinks someone needs to be with him. :)
 - He loves baths! He will lay in his little bath tub and kick and kick, and then cries when I finally have to take him out.
 - He still likes trying to stand on his wobbly legs, and we're working on liking tummy time but he  mostly just likes to lay there and try to suck on his fist.

Gram and Gramps gave him his Christmas present early, a bumbo seat. He likes it okay; the first time he tried it he was tired and a little fussy, but he has enjoyed sitting in it while we work in the kitchen so he can see us (and the ceiling fan!).

This isn't so bad

Tilting a little bit...

Mom! I'm tilting!

I don't like tilting!

I'm done! Stop taking pictures!

And now, time to see how much he's grown since last month! Look at those chunky cheeks!

Since Mr. Monkey called Eli a monkey last month, Eli has decided to try being a monkey for a day and have Mr. Monkey be a boy!

"This isn't so bad..."

"Hey, how do I look?"

"You look kind of funny in my hat!"

"Yeah, I guess I could be a monkey..."

"Sooooo, what do monkeys DO all day?"

"This is it?... Lets do something else..."

"This is my SCARY face! Where's yours?"

"We'll have to work on yours"

"See you back in the crib, 'k? It's time
for my one-on-one pictures with Mom."

"Hey, I wasn't ready! Do over!"

"How's this side?"

"Dad says this is my 'model' look"
