9 Months

I want to start out by saying, SO sorry for the long, long, long wait! But it was out of my control! The computer was in the shop getting a few minor things fixed, and the guy kept saying "Oh, yeah, it'll be really quick, the part should be in any day." Right.

It's been so long, I might have to do this in installments.... so here's the first part; 9 month pictures!
He likes exploring outside, but doesn't like the scratchy grass on his legs when he crawls (and he is crawling everywhere!)... this is somewhat of a conundrum. Hopefully the grass isn't as prickly since our monsoon season, but we'll have to let the mud dry a little to find out.

His very serious about a stick he found
When he finds something new, he holds it, looks at, turns it over and over in his hands, maybe gives it a little taste, shakes it, etc, etc. Every time. Something new, same process; exploring, investigating, studying. He is so attentive and independent (or at least, he wants to be independent).

"Did you see this stick?"

Oh, the cheeks...

"Maybe I should taste it..."

He likes Daddy's hat!

...and then he dropped it.

My boys on the Fourth of July! Eli was in bed by dark (mostly because I had to work the next day and I didn't stay up), so he missed watching the fireworks and the noise didn't seem to bother him.
If someone talks to him, Eli will give a big smile,
shove his hand into his mouth and turn his
head away like he's shy. Silly!
