Around Town

Eli's current favorite thing to say is, "wha you doin'?" Usually Always repeated constantly until you answer. And after you answer, he forgets in about fifteen seconds (or just wants to check what you might be doing now)... so he asks again, "oh, wha you doin' Momma? Wha you doin'?"

Now if we could just get him to say, "how you doin?" it would make it a whole lot funnier.

Walking around town...

Eli loves to feed ducks!
These ducks were a little too enthusiastic... one of them nibbled on his hand a little bit!
(he was surprised, but not hurt or upset)

You know what's great after a walk? Ice cream! It makes everything better. :)

OKC Kid's Fest at the Cox center
There were all kinds of booths, with crafts, information, things to play with, gifts and treats. Some of the things were a little old for him, but he still had great fun! One of his favorites was getting to go inside a real ambulance!

Making a superhero mask

Super Eli!

Cool sunglasses (that he didn't want to keep on).

But he did show the big dog his sunglasses :)

Fireman's hat! I think he liked it a little bit...

And a sucker to end the fun!

Not so fun when it's all gone.

First OKC Pictures

These pictures were taken out first week in Oklahoma City while we walked around downtown and along the river. They have lovely gardens right next to the Cox Convention center, but Eli's favorite was anything with water. :)

This bulldozer was a new toy he insisted on taking everywhere (thank you Goodwill).

Do you see the duck? Eli was trying to make friends with it...

We love water!

The garden has a kids playground area that was almost as 'favorite' as the water!

Getting a drink after playing and walking all over town!

Outside Play

Eli loves to be outside. Hot. Cold. Windy. Sunny. Rainy. Well, actually he's not really sure about the rain, he seems confused... why is he getting wet when he's not playing in water? Speaking of playing in water, he loves to play in water! As long as it is small amounts and he is in control... large pools, not so much; puddles, yes!

Last weekend we made an overnight trip to Tulsa and stayed with GG and Grandpa. Eli loved playing in their big fenced yard, checking out the garden with Grandpa (eating blackberries!), 'playing' with the dog and cat (they are a little too fast for him), and since it was a little warm, playing in a bucket of water!

This morning, we played outside since it was still rather cool from the rain last night. He found the puddles, as I knew he would. Boys don't care about dirt, I don't think they even see it most of the time, they care about what they are doing; playing in the puddle, throwing rocks, working, getting things done. It's what boys do.

Workin'

Throwing rocks in a puddle

That rock apparently didn't land right, have to throw it again.

"Get some leaves!"

Just kidding, getting sticks to throw in the puddle :)

Maybe this one?

No, we're gonna need more than that.

Oh, yeah, this should be enough!

This puddle is looking better already!

Lookin' at his work

Maybe some more rocks will do it.

Stomp 'em down a little bit.

They have to be arranged just right

Poke it with a stick

I love that face!

I don't know what he sees, but he likes it!

Lookin' tired

Dirty and tired, but happy!
